The purpose of the Logotype & Poster is to create visual organization and composition. As well as, explore information hierarchy within the poster, but also express symbolic importance through the logotype. The poster is created through the poem, My Mother and the Sunday Meal by America Salvatore. The poem gives the feeling of disconnection between the mother and her family, so the poem is displayed as if it is fading into the background. Hierarchy is shown with quotes from the mother. While the logotype, the word conversation, is read vertically to show that the conversation is going down hill. The symbolic importance in the logotype is the O’s are changed to one quotation mark to represent that the mother is talking to only herself.
